Are you an experienced Full Stack Engineer? Could you be passionate about building immersive experiences for millions of players around the world? Do you want to work on a platform that connects our incredible RuneScape and Old School RuneScape communities?

We’re looking for a skilled Full-Stack Engineer to join our RuneScape Franchise team, driving innovation on our websites, desktop game launcher, and storefronts.

Our Teck Stack:

    • Frontend & Backend Frameworks: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js 
    • Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, Vercel, Cloudflare 
    • Desktop Applications: Electron, CEF 
    • Testing Tools: Jest, Playwright 
    • Serverless Architecture: AWS Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, Cloudflare Workers, Vercel Functions 
    • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK 

What you'll be doing:

    • Lead the functional and technical analysis, design, development, and testing of large-scale product features. 
    • Build and maintain high-throughput, reliable, and secure systems that support the RuneScape player community. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a Scrum environment to deliver new features and improvements. 
    • Shorten feedback cycles through continuous integration and deployment best practices. 
    • Shape the technical direction of the team and help define department-wide technical principles. 

What you'll need:

    • Web Performance Expertise: Understanding page performance/budgets. 
    • Node.js & TypeScript Mastery: Deep knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript. 
    • REST/GraphQL Expertise: Familiarity with well-structured REST or GraphQL APIs. 
    • Framework Experience: Ideally familiar with React/Next.js or similar frameworks. Knowledge of rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, SPA) is a big plus. 
    • Cloud & Serverless Expertise: Experience with AWS serverless technologies. Familiarity with Vercel or Cloudflare Workers/Pages is a plus. 
    • Event-Driven Architecture: Strong understanding of event-driven design. 
    • Infrastructure as Code: Experience using AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation for configuration, deployment and monitoring.
