Job Description
DIGIC is seeking a seasoned FX Artist to contribute to a stylized fantasy world for an upcoming Magic: The Gathering Netflix series. The role involves designing and creating stylized FX in Houdini, simulating and rendering particle, fluid, and dynamic systems, and integrating FX into Maya/Nuke/Unreal workflows. The artist will collaborate with supervisors, manage complex tasks, and work within a flexible setup. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an FX Artist with proficiency in Houdini, and working knowledge of Unreal Engine, Maya, Arnold, and Nuke. Experience with stylized visuals is a plus.

- Working knowledge of Unreal Engine, Maya, Arnold, Nuke
- Intermediate English communication skills
- Ability to invoice legally under Hungarian law (for freelancers)

Job Details
DIGIC is bringing a stylized fantasy world to life in the upcoming Magic: The Gathering Netflix series — and we’re looking for a seasoned FX Artist to join the project.
We hire both Hungary-based employees and remote freelancers located within a 2-hour time difference from Budapest, provided you're a registered freelancer/business eligible to invoice under Hungarian tax law.
Responsibilities
What you'll do:
- Design and create stylized FX in Houdini
- Simulate and render particle, fluid, and other dynamic systems
- Integrate FX into Maya/Nuke/Unreal workflows
- Collaborate with supervisors and production
- Take ownership of complex tasks (solo or with a small team)
Essential skills
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years experience as an FX Artist
- Proficiency in Houdini
- Working knowledge of Unreal Engine, Maya, Arnold, and Nuke
- For freelancers: ability to invoice legally under Hungarian law
- Intermediate English communication skills
- Experience with stylized visuals is a big plus
