In this role, you will have a lot of ownership to impact the features and creative direction of one of our top live games that keeps on entertaining tens of millions of players worldwide. You will also collaborate with our LiveOps team to fine-tune features and tools, making each game experience better than the last. Responsibilities
- Join a dynamic, small design team, taking significant ownership and directly influencing the creative direction of Hay Day
- Collaborate on the roadmap for both new and existing features, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals
- Take full responsibility for feature designs from initial brainstorming to analyzing how they perform after release, ensuring continuous improvement and relevance
- Analyze and balance game features and economies, using data-driven insights to optimize player engagement and satisfaction
- Partner with LiveOps to design and refine tooling for new features, ensuring everything runs smoothly
- Work alongside LiveOps and Data to set up and analyze A/B testing, drawing actionable insights to guide future design decisions.
- Collaborate in building design processes to make the game team’s work as smooth as possible
Requirements
- Proven experience as an economy-focused systems designer, ideally within the simulation games industry
- Excellent communication skills to foster teamwork and ensure everyone is on the same page
- Quick-thinking and adaptable, open to making bold changes to enhance game features and player experience
- Deep understanding of casual audience dynamics and player motivations, with a strong focus on crafting engaging player journeys
- A balanced approach to design, leveraging both data-informed strategies and an intuitive understanding of player needs
- A real team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, actively seeks feedback and is always looking to improve things for the better
- Persistent dedication to improvement and patience in refining game elements over time
- Comfortable with Excel or similar spreadsheet software, using it to balance features and economy, manage data and track how changes affect gameplay
