Rovio's Bloom City Match team seeks two Senior Game Developers. Responsibilities include independently implementing complex game features, evaluating technical feasibility, managing development from design to implementation, ensuring code quality and performance, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with internal teams. The role requires proficiency in C#, Unity, debugging, performance optimization, game architecture, SOLID principles, agile development, and strong communication skills. The position is based in Espoo or Barcelona with a hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office), and relocation support is offered.

We are looking for two Senior Game Developers to join our Bloom City Match team and take charge of the core game mechanics or live-ops activities within the game. Bloom City Match is our newest match-3 game, currently in soft launch, with plans for a global launch in the coming months!

The team is located in Espoo and Barcelona. We work in a hybrid model working from the office 2 days a week. If you are currently not based in Espoo, we’d be happy to provide you relocation support.

You will have impact and fun at work by:

    • Implementing complex game features independently in a timely manner
    • Evaluating technical feasibility, identify risks and provide time estimations for own tasks
    • Being responsible for all aspects of development from design to implementation
    • Being responsible for documentation, code quality and game performance also post launch
    • Working actively in helping the team achieve project targets
    • Mentoring less experienced developers in the game team
    • Communicating and sharing information with Rovio internal teams when needed
    • Improving processes, tools and team work

Experience and skills we are looking for:

    • Very good programming skills (especially C#)
    • Proficient with technologies and development tools required for the target platform (especially Unity)
    • Proficient in debugging, profiling and performance optimization
    • Broad knowledge of game architecture and technologies
    • Good knowledge of SOLID principles and software development practices
    • Experience working in large live mobile games
    • Proficient in agile development methods
    • Good communication skills
