Job Description

The job involves creating high-quality content using motion capture data and developing animations that support gameplay and visuals. The animator will be implementing and iterating on animation assets within the game, collaborating with the team to create a dynamic player-centric experience. The animator will also be responsible for organizing and prioritizing animation tasks and seeking feedback. The role also includes working in the in-house motion capture studio. The project is a AAA title, a gritty, third-person cover shooter, developed in partnership with Microsoft.
Must have:
  • 5+ years professional experience as an animator in games
  • Understanding of animation principles: timing, weight, staging
  • Ability to transfer game’s story and gameplay through animations
  • Solid understanding of character anatomy
  • Proficiency with any animation tools
  • Ability to follow and take direction
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Open-minded team player attitude
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated
  • Passionate about playing and making videogames
Good to have:
  • Artistic skills: storyboarding, figure study, gesture drawing, 2D animation
  • Technical skills: rigging, scripting, proficient in Maya and Motionbuilder
  • Familiarity with Unreal or similar game engine
  • Facial animation and lip-syncing skills
  • Shipped game title experience

Job Description

Suivre la vision établie de l’histoire et de la jouabilité du jeu dans le processus de création de l’animation

  • Créer un contenu de haute qualité en utilisant des données de capture de mouvement 
  • Développer des animations qui soutiennent la jouabilité et les visuels
  • Implémentation et itération sur les actifs d'animation dans le jeu
  • Collaborer avec l’équipe pour créer une expérience dynamique et centrée sur le joueur
  • Organiser et prioriser les tâches d'animation 
  • Rechercher un retour d’information et une orientation après une recherche personnelle.

Follow the established vision of game’s story and gameplay in process of animation creation

  • Creating high quality content utilizing motion capture data
  • Developing animations that support gameplay and visuals
  • Implementing and iterating on animation assets in game
  • Collaborating with team to create dynamic, player centric experience,

  • Looking for feedback and direction after self-investigation
  • You will also be working in our inhouse motion capture studio.

Qualifications

Qualifications :

  • Typiquement au moins 5 ans d’expérience professionnelle en tant qu’animateur ou animatrice pour le cinéma.
  • Bonne compréhension des principes de l’animation – synchronisation, poids et mise en scène.
  • Excellente capacité à véhiculer l’histoire et le déroulement du jeu au moyen d’animations crédibles et pleines de vie.
  • Solide compréhension de l’anatomie des personnages.
  • Maîtrise de n’importe quel outil d’animation.
  • Capacité à penser de manière créative pour proposer des techniques plus efficaces.
  • Capacité à recevoir et à suivre des directives.
  • Capacité à mettre en œuvre les commentaires reçus.
  • Fortes compétences en communication orale et écrite en anglais.
  • Esprit d’équipe et ouverture.
  • Forte éthique de travail et motivation personnelle.
  • Passion pour les jeux vidéo et leur création.

Atouts :

  • Compétences artistiques : scénarimage, étude de personnages, dessin gestuel, animation 2D.
  • Compétences techniques en illustration et peinture : armature, scriptage, maîtrise de Maya et Motionbuilder.
  • Connaissance d’Unreal Engine ou d’un moteur de jeu similaire.
  • Compétences en animation faciale et en synchronisation labiale.
  • Expérience de jeu publié.
