About the job

We’re looking for a Senior Gameplay Engineer with a 6th sense for good game feel to help us explore brave new frontiers in VR interaction and gameplay. You must be an incredibly passionate game engineer with a penchant for nailing game feel and aesthetic. 
Your design sensibilities for what feels good in VR gaming must be S-tier, and you must be able to show demonstrable success shipping successful products while being super fast at prototyping. 

We encourage people with non-traditional backgrounds in modding and game development to apply. Some of our best engineers have come from the modding community. Maybe you’ve been modding Minecraft since you were in grade school – or making Roblox games / tinkering with Steam workshops.

Requirements

    • Shipped successful projects, either solo or on a team, where you owned a major system
    • Experience working with advanced animation frameworks, especially systems that use a combination of different FK and IK solutions to produce AAA level animations.
    • Good taste and intuition on aesthetic and game-feel, validated by shipping successful titles.
    • Demonstrable experience creating and then owning core gameplay systems and with minimal supervision.
    • Experience building tactile gaming experiences in VR.

    • Experience building and prototyping systems using LLMs and generative AI
