Summary

Remedy Entertainment seeks a Senior Hard Surface Artist to contribute to the creation of next-generation games. Responsibilities include designing realistic 3D hard surface assets (weapons, vehicles) that align with project style, collaborating with various departments, providing accurate time estimates, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring high-quality 3D models and PBR materials. The ideal candidate possesses proven experience as a Senior Hard Surface Artist in first or third-person titles, a strong portfolio showcasing mechanical design skills, proficiency in 3D software (Blender, Maya, 3DS Max), excellent understanding of shape, composition and layout, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Remedy Entertainment, the creator of Control®, Max Payne®, Alan Wake®, and one of the leading independent game studios in the world, is looking for a Senior Hard Surface Artist to create high quality gaming experiences for the next generation of games.

As a Senior Hard Surface Artist, you’ll be part of a team creating high quality 3D hard surface assets that contribute to the overall game experience. You’ll be able to closely work together with other artists and designers and creatively participate in all steps of the project. From early concept to final product. WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • As the Senior Hard Surface Artist, create realistic 3D hard surface assets (weapons, vehicles etc.) that fit the over-all style of the project working from concepts/references and expanding them creatively.
  • Actively communicate with different departments and provide accurate time estimations for your work.
  • Support your colleagues by mentoring and reviewing the work of more junior members of the team.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • You have demonstrable previous work experience as Senior Hard Surface Artist or similar roles on 1st or 3rd person titles.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates an interest for mechanical devices and hard surface modelling.
  • You are familiar working either within Blender, Maya, 3DS Max or other 3D software package.
  • You have excellent understanding of shape, composition and layout as well as a good technical understanding of game engines.
  • Good high poly modelling skills
  • Experience with creating PBR materials
  • You thrive working in a team environment, sharing ideas and learning from others. You are used to collaborating with colleagues across different departments and you are able to communicate and present your ideas in a clear and coherent way. As a team member you are dedicated contributing towards a friendly and inclusive work environment.
  • You can also work independently, being organized and able to document your work.
