Job Summary
The Senior HRBP in Japan is responsible for overall HR compliance and office functions. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining performance management tools, proposing local HR policies, ensuring compliance with corporate governance and Japanese labor laws, processing employee data, supporting onboarding and benefits administration, handling offboarding, managing employee paid leave, collaborating with the Chief Talent Officer on job duties and compensation, reviewing total compensation and benefits, and coordinating the relocation of local talent. Additional responsibilities include managing employee immigration cases, investigating employee and performance issues, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and collaborating with the IT department on office equipment. Must Have
- 10+ years of experience in HR or talent operations.
- Expert knowledge of Japanese employment law, compliance, and regulations.
- Experience working in a startup company.
- Experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
