Senior Illustrator

An awesome opportunity to join Oz-Games Studio, one of Aristocrats premier game development studios, working with a world-class art, animation and audio team producing games for a global audience.
This role is for Senior 2D Illustrator. If you are suitable established creative professional with extensive development experience and credentials, who is a subject-matter expert we want to hear from you. This position is for is a ‘hands on’ individual contributor developing and producing high quality illustration content which is on-brief and on-time; working collaboratively within a team environment and under direction to achieve outcomes and to support the delivery of games at the highest quality. Gaming Industry knowledge is preferred but no essential. However, it is expected that the candidate applying for this role would have contributed to the development and success of a range of commercially released products in an aligned industry i.e., console games, online, mobile etc.

What You'll Do

• Work closely with the Art Director and other team members to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Create visually stunning 2D illustrations that align with brand guidelines and project specifications.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of current design trends and techniques.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior illustrators, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Work closely with the Art Director and other team members to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering exceptional results.
• Continuously improve and refine your illustration skills to stay ahead in the industry.
• Working under direction from Art-director and project stakeholders, to produce world class illustrations with a focus on innovation and creativity.
• Creative excellence: ensure output is on-brand and innovative; attention to detail and deadlines paramount.
• Maintain excellent file organization and follow established processes for asset creation and management, output configuration, IP and reference material etc.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in fine arts, Graphic Design, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a 2D Illustrator, preferably in a creative studio environment, previous industry experience is highly regarded.
• Proficient in industry-standard illustration software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Zbrush
• Strong drawing skills, able to visualize and design from abstract ideas
• Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of 2D illustration styles and techniques.
• Excellent understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively present ideas and concepts
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Designing with the user experience in mind.

Computer Literacy

• Demonstrated experience with core application software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, ZBrush, Adobe CC Suite, etc.
• Strong PC/Mac skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Communication Skills

• Ability to liaise across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to develop, foster and facilitate effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Able to communicate effectively both in written and verbal forms.
• Confident to share new ideas and comfortable influencing key stakeholders.
