Experience in cloud services (GCP, AWS, Azure) and subscription-based services is a must. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract.

Your mission

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with an IT background to support us in setting up our services whilst we undertake a significant business transformation. This role requires a professional with substantial experience in managing complex initiatives and technical know how. The selected individual will play a crucial role in engaging with other functions to ensure seamless coordination and effective management of initiatives.

You are a strong, experienced Project Management professional who is passionate about delivering complex projects and are excited by the challenges associated with high profile strategic initiatives. If you are a true team player who can lead, build trust quickly, work collaboratively and adapt to a fast-changing product and work environment you will fit in well here. You will collaborate in a cross functional environment and will ensure that stakeholders at all levels of the organization have the information they need for informed decision-making. You will provide visibility of project statuses and provide individual reports tailored to their audiences, so we do expect you to have superb communications skills and fluent English.

The successful applicant will have to get up to speed and pick up things very quickly and must be comfortable dealing with a complex project in a fast-paced work environment with limited supervision. You will report a senior member of the team whilst being accountable for project deliverables and artefacts.

What you'll do

  • Use your significant subject matter expertise to identify and define project scope and develop a comprehensive project plan for a complex IT transformation.
  • Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, including executive leadership, to gain support and secure necessary capacity.
  • Capture and manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies in an organized and coherent manner and manage proactively.
  • Co-ordinate the different key vendors and service providers as required ensuring that they meet the required standards and committed timelines.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal project teams, ensuring alignment with overall strategic objectives, assist tactical teams in overcoming obstacles and achieving project milestones.
  • Provide leadership to cross functional teams ensuring that outcomes are achieved consistently using agreed frameworks within the Business and that standard methodologies and management principles are adhered to. You'll have a high-level understanding of initiatives being delivered and be able to partake in relevant conversations and update the wider team accordingly.
  • Be accountable for maintaining a project plan showing all of the key activities, milestones and dependencies and ensuring that execution against these is on time and meets agreed requirements.
  • Establish effective communication channels among all stakeholders, ensure regular updates and transparent communication regarding project status and any changes.
  • Use your substantial experience in managing complex initiatives and have a deep understanding of cloud services (such as GCP, AWS or Azure) as well as subscription-based services (including Atlassian stack, Microsoft solutions, Identiy Access Management solutions, remote administration tools, etc.).

What you'll bring

  • Experience of Project Managing multiple complex IT transformation initiatives
  • Personable character and exceptional communicator – ability to communicate at the highest level (Written, Spoken and Presentation), provide empathetic feedback, challenge, and influence others.
  • Very strong stakeholder management skills. Credible and persuasive, with collaborative and influencing skills.
  • Highly organized and good at getting things done in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment.
  • Proven ability to proactively manage time effectively.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently and in a team setting.
  • Tech-savvy in using management software tools (e.g. Atlassian suite).
  • Ideally degree educated in a subject such as IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business etc.
  • Desirable to have a Professional PM Qualification (e.g. PMP, Prince 2, Agile Scrum Master, etc).
