Senior Java Full Stack developer

Infosys is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you'll design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using a diverse array of modern technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java-based backend development, cloud services, and React frontend implementation. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Nashville, TN or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of overall IT experience.
Java Spring Boot: Extensive experience building and leading development of production-grade applications with Spring Boot ecosystem
React: Deep expertise in React.js for building complex, state-driven frontend applications
Technical Leadership: Proven experience leading development teams and driving architectural decisions
Backend Development -
Mastery of Core Java principles and practices
Expert-level knowledge of Spring ecosystem, particularly Spring Data JPA
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
Experience with Thymeleaf or similar templating engines
Familiarity with Camunda BPMN for workflow implementation
Frontend Development -
Advanced React state management and component architecture
Experience with Next.js for server-side rendering
Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience implementing UI with Material UI (MUI) and/or Bootstrap
Knowledge of Node.js fundamentals
Database & Data Management-
Strong experience with MySQL optimization and administration
Working knowledge of NoSQL solutions, particularly MongoDB and DynamoDB
Database design, performance tuning, and scaling strategies
Integration & Architecture-
Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS SQS)
Implementation of event-driven architectures
Microservices design patterns and implementation strategies
Knowledge of integration patterns with Apache Camel
Familiarity with notification services (Sendgrid, AWS SNS)
Cloud & Infrastructure-
Strong experience deploying applications to AWS (EC2, ELB, S3, Lambda, EventBridge)
Working knowledge of Azure services
CI/CD implementation with Jenkins and/or GitLab pipelines
Experience with Maven build systems and dependency management
Version control mastery with Git, GitHub, and GitLab

Preferred Qualifications:
Implementation of authentication solutions (JWT, Okta, OAuth)
Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Instana, Splunk, CloudWatch)
Knowledge of search technologies like Apache Solr
Unit testing frameworks including Mockito and Jest
Advanced understanding of Java design patterns
Proven ability to lead technical teams of 5+ developers
Experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in complex project environments
Track record of delivering projects on time and within scope

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
