They will also mentor and inspire engineering colleagues. The role requires a strong understanding of software engineering principles, communication, and collaboration skills. The candidate should have at least 10 years of experience and should advocate for modern, scalable, and secure solutions.
Must have:
  • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.

  • Experience with SQL or DynamoDB databases.

About Us and the Role:

Our company is a fast-growing leader in financial technology, focused on building robust solutions for credit negotiation. We seek a mature, highly experienced Fullstack Engineer, with at least 15 years’ experience, who thrives in complex environments—balancing strong technical expertise with exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

As a senior/lead technical leader, you’ll drive every layer of our stack (.NET, Angular, AWS), and work across Product, Design, and QA, forging strong relationships to deliver real business value. Here, thoughtful communication and constructive negotiation are as critical as engineering prowess.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the architecture, development, and continuous improvement of our credit negotiation platform, advocating for modern, scalable, and secure solutions with .NET, Angular, and AWS.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders—translating complex concepts, building consensus, and ensuring that solutions reflect both business objectives and technology best practices.
  • Engage deeply with peers, Product Owners, Designers, and QA on a daily basis—facilitating open dialogue, sharing feedback, and aligning technical decisions with business strategy.
  • Negotiate and advocate for technical choices, balancing your expertise and preferences with input from product, design, business, and engineering teams to deliver the best outcomes.
  • Mentor and inspire your engineering colleagues, fostering knowledge sharing and a highly communicative team environment where creative problem solving and diverse viewpoints thrive.
  • Bring the maturity of 15+ years’ experience to bear—proactively surfacing risks, managing ambiguity, and guiding others through technical trade-offs and project challenges.
  • Champion quality, security, and compliance, sharing your experience of safe development practices, agile delivery, and robust architectural principles.
  • Stay business-focused: Understand stakeholders’ goals and ensure ongoing communication so technical and business teams are always moving forward together.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience—with deep mastery of .NET, Angular (latest versions), and AWS.
  • Strong skills in communicating and collaborating across engineering, product, and design teams—able to explain complex ideas and negotiate for technical decisions when needed.
  • History of mentoring, leading, and enabling others to do their best work within a transparent, feedback-rich team culture.
  • Outstanding command of written and spoken English—a must for clear collaboration, technical discussions, and documentation.
  • Financial industry experience or any finance-related software background is a plus
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and a drive for personal and organizational improvement.
  • Proven experience working with SQL or DynamoDB databases.
  • Experience with micro frontends in Angular is considered a strong plus

Travel

This position may require up to 10% travel.

 

Work format

This is a hybrid job opportunity based in our Medellín office – with 1-2 days per week working from home.
