Job Description

The Senior/Lead .NET Developer will be responsible for coding, debugging, documenting, and maintaining software, performing unit and integration testing, and participating in peer code reviews. The role involves contributing to technical and user documentation, assisting in resolving technical issues, and adhering to best engineering practices. The developer will also report on status and progress, and suggest improvements to the development process. The project focuses on enhancing the functionality of a platform used in the Danish public sector for grant management. The role requires experience in software development using C# (.NET 4.x and/or .NET Core), ASP.NET MVC 5, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. The project uses an enterprise content management (ECM) system that supports all kinds of municipal or corresponding authorities, case management and is characterized by a high degree of standard functionality. They will be working with a team that is dedicated to providing automation solutions to the Swedish and Danish public sectors. The client is a leading provider of high-quality IT products.
Must have:
  • .NET Core / strong
  • JavaScript/HTML/CSS / strong
  • English / strong
  • At least 5 years of software development experience
  • At least 2 years of experience leading teams
  • Experience with C# (.NET 4.x and/or .NET Core)
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC 5, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Strong OOP and OOD skills
  • Experience in API development using ASP.NET Web API and ASP.NET Core
  • Experience in database design and development (MS SQL Server or similar)
  • Experience in Agile software development processes (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience of creating RESTful services
  • Upper-Intermediate level of English
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of WCF and/or ASMX technologies
  • Experience in CI/CD configuration (Azure Pipelines)
  • Experience in message-broker software (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar)
  • Experience in SQL Server database optimizations (analyzing query plans)
  • Experience with SOAP integrations
  • Experience with Knockout

Our client is a leading provider of high-quality IT products in the Swedish and Danish public sectors, with over 12 years of successful cooperation with us. Their automation solutions serve 80% of government agencies in Sweden. The company specializes in document management, enterprise content management (ECM), data sharing, digital preservation, GDPR compliance, ERP solutions, and more. They cater to various sectors, including government, banking, retail, manufacturing, and life sciences.

Project

The project goal is to enhance the functionality of the platform used in the Danish public sector for grant management. The enterprise content management (ECM) system that supports all kinds of municipal or corresponding authorities, case management and is characterized by a high degree of standard functionality.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience on commercial-grade systems and applications
  • At least 2 years of experience leading teams
  • Experience in software development using C# programming language (.NET 4.x and/or .NET Core)
  •  Experience with ASP.NET MVC 5, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Strong OOP and OOD skills
  • Experience in API development using ASP.NET Web API and ASP.NET Core
  • Experience in database design and development (MS SQL Server or similar RDBMS)
  • Experience in Agile software development processes (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience of creating RESTful services
  • Upper-Intermediate level of English

WILL BE A PLUS

  • Knowledge of WCF and/or ASMX technologies

Responsibilities

  • Code, debug, document, and maintain portions of software.
  • Perform unit and integration testing
  • Participate in peer code reviews
  • Participate in estimation and planning sessions
  • Contribute to the development of technical project documentation and user documentation
  • Assist test engineers and support personnel in resolving technical issues related to software installation and operation.
  • Follow the best engineering practices and quality criteria set forth on the project
  • Report on status and progress according to project and company requirements
  • Spot current deficiencies in the development process, adopted procedures, engineering practices, and environment configurations and suggest improvements
