Responsibilities
  • 1.Provide legal support to payments and fintech businesses in the group during their entire life cycle (including licence application, business launch and exit). 2.Issues spotting across the different products in the portfolio. 3.Handle regulatory requests and manage working relationship with financial regulators. 4.Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts (e.g. merchant agreements, procurement agreements) and other legal documents and user interface such as terms of use. 5.Manage outside counsel for all payments and fintech projects. 6.Keep internal stakeholders abreast of any legal and regulatory update applicable to the business portfolio.
Requirements
  • 1.Common law qualified lawyers with at least 8 years PQE. 2.Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. 3.Ability not only to handle matters independently but also to delegate to and manage and mentor junior lawyers in the team when appropriate. 4.Strong commercial acumen and good industry knowledge. 5.Great interpersonal and communication skills. 6.Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1.Preferred Qualifications. 2.In-house experience of at least 4 years. 3.Broad knowledge and experience in other legal fields. 4.Experience in dealing with issues relating to fintech, finreg and payments matters. 5.Experience in handling legal and/or compliance matters for licensed entities in the payments and fintech sector. 6.Experience in dealing with financial regulators. 7.Good mixed of experience in advisory work and legal drafting.
