Job Description

As a Senior Level Artist at People Can Fly, you'll be responsible for creating world geometry and composition for levels in Unreal Engine for the AAA title, Project Maverick. This involves producing playable levels based on the Art Director's vision, redesigning existing assets, blocking out modules and levels, and creating initial materials. You will collaborate with lead artists and level designers, maintaining production pipelines and meeting deadlines. The role requires a strong understanding of PBR shaders, normal maps, color theory, and a passion for game development. You'll work with both European and North American teams on this unannounced title.
Must have:
  • 5+ years experience in world geometry creation

We also have one project in the concept phase – Red; as well as two projects in VR technology – Green Hell VR and Bulletstorm VR - an exciting VR version of our cult-classic shooter.

Job Description

  • Creating world geometry and composition for levels in Unreal Engine
  • Effectively producing playable levels based on Art directors vision and Level design needs with lead cooperation
  • Redesigning existing assets to new forms
  • Blocking out modules and levels, creating first materials
  • Maintaining production and workflow pipelines within given deadlines

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in creating world geometry for levels
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine 5
  • Ability to use PBR shaders and normal maps on a daily basis
  • Experience creating high quality creative/visual aesthetics as well as technical knowledge
  • Being able to adapt fast to a specific art style
  • Ability to adapt with guidance and improve, new styles, techniques, and workflows
  • Basic understanding of the color theory
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Open-minded team player attitude
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated
  • Passionate about playing and making video games
