Netflix's Content Programming Strategy & Operations (CPS&O) team is seeking a Sr. Manager to join its Los Angeles office, supporting Animated Series. Reporting to the Director, CPS&O for Animation, this role will inform Content decisions and drive Content operations to deliver the most thrilling content offering and value to members. Responsibilities include leading performance analysis of launched titles, providing strategic support on programming from greenlight through renewal, spearheading special projects for senior Netflix leaders, developing recommendations on key programming and operational issues, and partnering closely with Content, Production, Business Affairs, Finance, Consumer Products & Experiences, Product, and Consumer Insights teams.
Must have:
  • 8-12+ years of work experience
  • Current or recent animation experience in a strategy, finance or operations role
  • Deep passion for animated entertainment
  • Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently
  • Highly intellectually curious
  • Demonstrated track record of collaboration and impact
  • Excellent proficiency with MS Excel / PowerPoint

Netflix’s  Content Programming Strategy & Operations (CPS&O) team is looking for a Sr. Manager to join its team in its Los Angeles office, supporting Animated Series. The CPS&O  team reports into the Chief Content Officer, with this role reporting to the Director, CPS&O for Animation. 

We inform Content decisions and drive Content operations to deliver the most thrilling content offering and value to our members. We do this by:

  • helping optimize our slate, programming and investments from development to launch

  • leading cross functional coordination and driving solutions for operational challenges

  • providing an informed perspective on future business development opportunities. 

We partner closely with our Content, Production, Business Affairs, Finance, and other cross functional teams. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead performance analysis of launched titles, including audience deep dives and data analysis for renewal and sequel decisions 

  • Provide strategic support on programming from greenlight through renewal, both on an individual title and across the Animated TV slate

  • Spearhead special projects for senior Netflix leaders and develop recommendations on key programming and operational issues

  • Develop deep understanding of animation industry trends, competitor slates, and whitespace programming opportunities

  • Partner closely with Content, Production, Business Affairs, Finance, Consumer Products & Experiences, Product, and Consumer Insights teams

Qualifications:

  • 8-12+ years of work experience, MBA preferred 

  • Current or recent animation experience in a strategy, finance or operations role strongly preferred 

  • Deep passion for animated entertainment 

  • Experience conducting quantitative analysis (including modeling) and qualitative analysis; can drive to insight and results using data

  • Excellent communication/presentation skills with a track record of presenting complex analysis to executives/senior management clearly and concisely

  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently, thrives in a fast-paced, always changing environment

  • Highly intellectually curious and has the courage to challenge the status quo; exhibits the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.

  • Demonstrated track record of collaboration and impact; seen as a team player

  • Excellent proficiency with MS Excel / PowerPoint

Due to the nature and scope of this role, we will run a background check prior to starting with us. 

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $220,000 - $610,000
