Job Title: Snr Manager, Financial Modelling and Analysis 

Location: Virtual, remote worker location possible

Studio Business Group (SBG) is looking for Snr Manager of Financial Modelling and Analysis who will be responsible for establishing a center of excellence for financial modelling and analysis of SBG titles and IPs ensuring standardization of models and analysis and consistency across portfolio. This is a newly created team aiming at consolidating all key modelling and analysis under one team. The team will own modelling and valuation standards, ensure that each IP, title and business opportunity has an recent financial model and will provide modelling analytical support to key decision making and business processes such as title greenlighting, title reviews, business performance review processes or (new) business development opportunities or commercial negotiations. Team members under leadership of Director Financial Modelling will collaborate with other SBG teams, such as for example business development, product management, revenue forecasting, finance business partners providing financial modelling support. The role will report via Finance and require collaboration with multiple teams ensuring right assumptions and input getting into the models.  Director leading the team will champion “always forecasting” mindset, excellence and passion in modelling, accuracy and attention to details and continuous improvement mindset and insights generation from financial analysis. It is envisioned that team will consist of early career professionals passionate and experience in analysis who will see this role as a springboard into other roles within finance teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Defining a long term vision for financial modelling and analysis collaborating with Finance leaders to execute it effectively across portfolio of projects
  • Build, develop and lead team of financial modelling and analysis professionals who are acting as key support members of project teams at project key milestones
  • Lead and influence within a complex organizational structure, fostering collaboration cross-functionally and with external partners.
  • Ensuring all titles, IPs and opportunities have up to date financial model in place especially and above all in key moment in title lifecycle such as investment decision, reviews, portfolio planning
  • Develop implement and maintain standards in financial modelling for SBG titles and IPs ensuring consistency, clarity and accuracy and insightfulness of analysis
  • Financial modelling and analysis supporting Business development and commercial opportunities and co-dev, XDEV, outsourcing or any other external opportunity commercial discussions
  • Ownership for financial metric definitions and calculation methods
  • Manage a high-performance team, providing coaching, mentoring, and identifying development opportunities as well as appropriate portfolio coverage and succession plan
  • Facilitate and champion proactive communication and collaboration between modelling and analysis team and multiple functional teams and ensuring effective flow of data and validation of input as well as insights from analysis
  • Promote a culture of standardization, continuous improvement, and accountability in financial modelling and analysis 
  • Champion culture of collaboration with Portfolio management team ensuring seamless flow of processes between individual projects analysis to portfolio analysis
  • Staying apprised of broader industry developments and key business metrics and industry trends and benchmarking analysis of the gaming industry
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and presentations for leadership team

Qualifications & Skills:

  • BA/BS in business, strategy, finance, economics or related field; MBA and/or CFA designation preferred
  • 10-12+ years of experience in roles in finance, investment analysis and consulting roles wityh multiple modelling, analysis and investment decisions advisory responsibilities
  • Experience in gaming industry is not required but passion and interest in gaming will be a plus from culture fit perspective
  • Experience in  building and developing and leading teams
  • Passion and energy for process excellence and continuous improvements
  • Attention to details and accuracy; ability to review complex models quicky
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and influence the outcome through insights and analysis
  • Resilience under pressure including from senior stakeholders
  • Self-starter, showing initiative and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Experience in leading teams: passion for building effective, motivated and professional teams
  • Strong work ethic and confidentiality a must
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and working under time constraints

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$162,100 - $243,100 USD
