DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Works cross-functionally with leadership to ensure alignment of the company’s strategy and objectives with quality system policies and practices.
Leads the ongoing development and implementation of Nintendo’s Quality Program by working cross functionally to institutionalize processes and practices throughout the company and supply base.
Manages quality control activities within the organization providing functional direction and guidance to the department staff.
Manages new supplier onboarding by surveying, auditing, and recommending new vendors to procurement teams.
Manages vendors by providing performance and root cause analysis, and onsite audit support.
Coordinates with engineering to issue and maintain inspection records, reports, and corrective action plans.
Applies various methodologies and tools and to analyze processes to determine the effectiveness of the quality system and identify opportunities to eliminate waste, improving operational performance.
Forecasts work volume and staffing levels. Responsible for budget and resource planning.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
Ten years quality control experience.
Two to three years of management or supervisory experience.
Direct experience and a strong understanding of quality control theory, quality standards, practices, and systems.
Practical experience and strong understanding of production operations, supply chain management, and materials fabrication.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, and Excel.
Excellent knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and methods.
Ability to perform quality system and manufacturing process audits.
Undergraduate degree in business, manufacturing, engineering, a related field, or equivalent.
Formal education in quality control or equivalent preferred.
Certification as a Quality Manager, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor preferred.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes a base salary range of $137,000 - $246,500 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
