Zscaler seeks a Senior Manager, Sales Engineering to lead its NZ team. Based remotely in Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown, or Dunedin, this role reports to the Director of Sales Engineering. Responsibilities include leading and developing the Sales Engineering team, aligning with Regional Sales Directors on strategic goals, supporting technical validation, providing expert support for proposals and client presentations, and representing Zscaler at industry events. The ideal candidate possesses 10+ years in presales roles with team lead and management experience, 5+ years selling security solutions, and 2+ years in people management, along with deep network security technology knowledge.

We are looking for an experienced Sales Engineering Manager to lead our Sales Engineering team in the NZ region, based in either Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown or Dunedin. You will be reporting to the Director of Sales Engineering and will be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing the Sales Engineering team in NZ
  • Aligning with Regional Sales Directors on strategic goals and resource management
  • Supporting technical validation activities with Sales Engineers
  • Providing expert support for proposals, including client presentations
  • Representing Zscaler at industry events

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 10+ years in presales roles, including team lead and manager positions
  • 5+ years selling security solutions
  • 2+ years in people management
  • Deep knowledge of network security technologies

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Expertise in HTTP, web technologies, proxies, caches, and firewalls
  • Experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration of routers, switches, UNIX/Linux, and Windows systems
