Project: Top American Provider of Electrical Operations and Maintenance Services
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manual QA Engineer to join a high-impact, strategic technology initiative. Our mission is to evolve a core business application for a market-leading enterprise, proactively transforming the platform into a secure, maintainable, and high-performance architecture.
Requirements:
- Significant experience as a Senior Manual QA Engineer, specializing in complex, large-scale enterprise systems.
- Proven, expert-level experience in creating complete manual test suites from scratch for legacy applications with little to no existing documentation.
- Exceptional ability to interview non-technical stakeholders (SMEs) and translate their business knowledge into precise, testable user flows and test cases.
- Mastery of all manual testing methodologies: regression, integration, component, functional, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience in leading or mentoring junior or middle QA engineers.
- Experience testing applications undergoing major technical migrations (.NET, Angular, or similar) is a significant advantage.
- High proficiency with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps Test Plans).
- Excellent English skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the foundational test suite development, which involves creating a comprehensive manual regression test suite completely from scratch.
- Collaborate intensively with client-side Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to reverse-engineer, map, and document all critical user workflows and business processes.
- Establish this new test suite as the project's "single source of truth" for all application functionality, forming the baseline for all future testing.
- Mentor and lead the Middle QA Engineer, delegating test case creation and execution to ensure full test coverage.
- Design and execute continuous in-sprint testing (component and integration) as new, modernized pieces are delivered by the development teams.
- Lead the full-stack, end-to-end regression cycles at major project milestones to validate the fully integrated application against the baselines you created.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions with client SMEs to achieve final business sign-off before deployment.
- Act as the primary QA voice, expertly identifying, documenting, and triaging defects and providing clear, actionable feedback to the development teams.
