As a Senior Market Analyst at LSEG, you will be part of the Derivatives team in Gdynia, providing evaluations across various OTC derivative instruments. Your primary responsibility involves managing the market data workflow to derive end-of-day evaluations. This includes sourcing exchange and contributed data, performing QA checks, maintaining the database, and participating in projects to improve market data processes. You will also provide market data expertise and support to team members evaluating client portfolios. Key tasks include monitoring market data, creating new data, resolving technical issues, and maintaining methodology documentation.
Must have:
  • University degree in Economics, Finance, or related field
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
  • Quantitative skills and ability to work with numbers
  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills
Good to have:
  • Understanding of plain vanilla derivatives
  • Knowledge of SQL querying or programming foundations
  • Experience with data feeds and large datasets
  • Working knowledge of LSEG Eikon/Workspace

YOU AND YOUR TEAM The LSEG Evaluated Pricing Service is an independent, global evaluated pricing source covering over 2.6 million fixed income securities and derivatives. Coverage spans all major financial markets and prices are available at multiple times daily. Our evaluated prices, which provide detailed transparency and market insight, are crafted to support asset managers, custodian banks, mutual funds, investment banks, accounting firms, and financial research providers. WHY IS THIS JOB IMPORTANT? You will be part of the LSEG Derivatives team based in Gdynia providing evaluations across variety of OTC derivative instruments. The successful candidate will manage the market data workflow that feeds tools deriving end-of-day evaluations. Your responsibilities will include sourcing of exchange and contributed data (asset classes such as equity, money markets, interest rate, credit) and ensuring high quality of data through QA checks. You will take part in maintenance activities of database of underlying instruments and will participate in projects aiming at improving the market data collection processes. Most importantly you will provide support, market data expertise and will work closely with team members involved in evaluating clients’ portfolios. SOME OF THE DAILY TASKS:
  • Monitor daily and intraday market data snaps and perform QA checks
  • Create new market data to be used for derivatives valuation (stock dividends and options data, interest rate curves, credit curves etc)
  • Raise and resolve possible technical issues with IT Support team
  • Maintenance of Market Data methodology documentation
  • After gaining some experience, the candidate will be able to participate in derivatives valuation
WHAT TO BRING:
  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics. Other STEM disciplines are welcome
  • MS Excel skills are a must
  • Self-motivation and the will to learn new concepts and processes
  • Quantitative skills and ability to work with numbers
  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills
YOU WILL BE EVEN MORE COMPETITIVE IF YOU HAVE:
  • Understanding of plain vanilla derivatives or more complex OTC products
  • Fundamental knowledge of SQL querying or programming foundations in other languages (e.g. Python/VBA)
  • Experience with data feeds, working with large data sets
  • Working knowledge of LSEG Eikon/Workspace and Eikon/Workspace Excel
