Job Description

As a Senior Mendix Consultant, you will lead the delivery of high-end business solutions for key customers, working with exceptional talent. The role involves hands-on development using the Mendix platform and driving the success of technology implementations. Key responsibilities include being the central point of contact for project updates, engaging with customers and stakeholders, owning end-to-end application delivery, mentoring, and promoting Agile/Scrum practices. The consultant will be part of the development process through project planning, development and successful customer adoption. This role offers opportunities to drive digital innovation for customers, mentor junior team members, and facilitate workshops.

Must have:

Lead application development projects as a Mendix consultant/developer
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent communicator both in Dutch and English
Experience mentoring junior team members
Experience facilitating workshops

Good to have:

Experience with other low-code platforms
Experience with server-side programming: Java, .NET, C#, SQL
Experience with integration protocols: REST, SOAP, XML
Experience with databases: MSSQL, PostgreSQL
Experience with front-end: HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript, React
Experience with networking basics: HTTP, TLS, certificates
Mobile and web development experience
Certified Scrum Master or Agile facilitator
Experience with enterprise customer environments

In this role, you will lead the delivery of high-end business solutions for our key customers, working alongside exceptional talent across all areas of business innovation. You bring prior consultancy experience and ideally come from a custom software development background, with strong familiarity in agile methodologies.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll play a key role in the development process using the Mendix platform. You’ll be instrumental in driving the success of Mendix technology implementations and championing the adoption of our methodology.

Clear communication is essential — you'll serve as the central point of contact for project updates, engaging with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders at Mendix.

You’ll help our customers drive digital innovation by:

Taking ownership of end-to-end application delivery using Mendix platform—from sprint zero to go-live—ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with customer needs.
Becoming a Mendix expert to steer innovation within Mendix technology implementations
Supporting customers and partners in becoming self-sufficient on the Mendix platform through enablement, mentoring, and workshop delivery.
Promoting and leading Agile/Scrum-based practices in Mendix implementations.
Being hands-on and playing an intrinsic part in the development process using the Mendix platform. You will be responsible for the preparation and execution of multiple phases; through project planning, development and successful customer adoption.

You’re the innovator we need if you:

Have hands-on experience leading application development projects as a Mendix consultant/developer
Love to engage with the customer to drive innovation in their organisation. You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence, guide, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and enterprise customers.
You are a fluent communicator both in Dutch and English.
Have experience mentoring junior team members, and enjoy enabling both internal colleagues and customers and facilitating workshops.
Have worked effectively with partner resources and understand how to integrate them into delivery models.

Tech Stack – Nice to Have (but Not Required):

As a Senior Mendix Developer, you’ll be building solutions on the Mendix low-code platform and collaborating across teams to design scalable, integrated applications. While your core focus will be on building with the Mendix platform, interest or experience in the following technologies will accelerate your impact:
Experience with other low-code platforms
Server-side programming: Java, .NET, C#, SQL

Databases: MSSQL, PostgreSQL
Front-end: HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript, React

This role operates within a hybrid work model, allowing the flexibility to work from home and an average travel commitment of up to three days per week to meet with clients and engage in on-site activities, ensuring we maintain strong, personal connections with our customer base.
