What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a network engineer with a background in enterprise networking and infrastructure operations. This role supports our corporate users, not our SaaS product infrastructure, and involves maintaining the systems and connectivity that power our global business. You’ll work closely with colleagues across IT and business units to ensure our internal network environment is reliable, secure, and scalable.

What you’ll be working on

  • Operate and maintain internal network infrastructure across corporate sites, private data centers, and cloud platforms
  • Configure and troubleshoot enterprise networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VRRP, VLANs, VxLAN, and VRF
  • Automate network operations and provisioning tasks using Ansible, AWX, and scripting languages such as Python
  • Manage and support corporate network equipment, including Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto Networks platforms
  • Collaborate with a global team to ensure consistent network performance and continuous service improvement
  • Design and optimize connectivity for corporate offices, remote users, and cloud-based business applications
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across distributed systems using tools like Wireshark
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and change management records
  • Participation in on-call support rotation is expected

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in network engineering within enterprise or corporate IT environments
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and technologies like SD-WAN, VPN, NAC (802.1x), VLANs, QoS, SNMP, and RADIUS
  • Experience supporting infrastructure across AWS and/or Azure environments
  • Proficiency in scripting and network automation where possible
  • Solid experience with Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto Networks gear
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in hybrid and cloud environments
  • Ability to translate technical knowledge into clear, usable documentation for a range of audiences
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and network resiliency best practices
  • Ability to communicate written and orally in English at the B2+ level

SurveyMonkey believes in-person collaboration is valuable for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing our speed and execution in problem-solving and decision-making. As such, this opportunity is hybrid and requires you to work from the SurveyMonkey office in Heredia 3 days per week. In addition, occasional international travel may be required to support corporate offices and infrastructure in countries where we operate.

Please apply using an English version of your resume/CV.
