Behaviour is looking for a Senior Online who can bring his expertise and rigor to our team. A key member of the programming team, he or she will implement and maintain the various interfaces with online services and will be responsible for in-game systems that are mainly linked to the server aspect of multiplayer games. 

The Senior Online Programmer will be involved in all matters relating to the Live aspect of the game, such as the development and maintenance of game functionality, instrumentation, operation and the provision of debugging tools to support the Live team. He will also help other members of the team to design and implement systems that can scale to large player populations and be easily maintainedover the long term.

In this role you will:

    • Maintain and develop platform-independent interfaces that deliver a rich and connected online experienceincluding Inventory, achievements, and scoreboards;
    • Support connectivity with many backend services (authentication, profile, transactions, etc.); 
    • Provide in-game support to interface with online services;
    • Implement server and session management logic pertaining tomatchmaking; 
    • Adapt the game flow to support various network topologies and platforms; 
    • Ensure robustness of the solution to be live and online all the time; 
    • Design and implement support for the necessary analytics; 
    • Implement various tools to support and debug the networking platforms. 

What we’re looking for:

    • Expertise with Unreal Engine 4 or 5;  
    • Expertise in C++; 
    • Expertise in working with restful services with high throughput; 
    • Expertise in AWS or similar cloud technology, a definite plus; 
    • Ability to produce efficient and scalable software designs; 
    • Knowledge in data pipelines; 
    • Ownership/leadership qualities; 
    • Good communication skills; 
    • Passion for games. 
Behaviour est à la recherche d'un·e programmeur·euse online senior·e qui pourra apporter son expertise et sa rigueur à notre équipe. Membre clé·e de l’équipe de programmation, iel implémentera et maintiendra les différentes interfaces avec les services en ligne et s'occupera des systèmes principalement liés à l'aspect serveur des jeux multijoueurs.

Le·la programmeur·euse online senior·e sera impliqué·e dans tous les aspects Live du jeu, tels que le développement et la maintenance des fonctionnalités, l'instrumentation, l'exploitation, et la fourniture d'outils de débogage pour soutenir l'équipe Live. Iel aidera également les autres membres de l'équipe à concevoir et à mettre en œuvre des systèmes capables de s'adapter à de grandes populations de joueur·euse·s et de rester facilement maintenables à long terme.
