Description

As the backend technologies subject matter expert (SME) on our first project, you’ll be working closely with the team to integrate and maintain the backend technologies necessary to support the game’s cross-platform and multiplayer features. You will be helping the business, design, and engineering teams understand what’s possible in the backend technology domain under resource and technical constraints, and providing feature, system, and tools implementations that balance speed and robustness. Longer term, you’ll also help the team establish technical standards and direction as well as ensure feature and system performance, stability, and maintainability.

Our ideal candidate is humble, values teamwork, shows initiative, operates autonomously, and is excited to work in a well-funded startup environment.

  • Support non-engineering disciplines in understanding what’s possible and the cost/benefit associated with various technical solutions
  • Regularly provide collaborative feedback focused on achieving a top-quality player experience
  • Provide gameplay and systems engineering support when not focused on backend related feature or systems development
