Barbaricum is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) based in Washington, DC with offices in Tampa, FL, and in Dayton, OH. Barbaricum is already approaching 250 employees and growing rapidly. The company currently executes 45 government contracts (more than half as prime) across three current lines of business – Cyber/Intel, Mission Support, and Integrated Communications. Barbaricum provides mission-focused and innovative approaches to enable tailored support in solving complex problems by delivering human-led, technology-driven solutions.
Barbaricum is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Manager for the National Geospatial- Intelligence Agency (NGA ARCHES) Program. The Senior Product Manager on the NGA AI/ML Program plays a critical role in the intersection of technology and strategy.
The Senior Program Manager will operate at the forefront of AI and deep learning technologies, championing transformational changes within the Digital Intelligence Environment (DIE) of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). The Senior Product Managers on the NGA AI/ML Program are integral to ensuring the success of the program. They are key players in translating user needs into product strategies and efficiently managing development processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic insight and advice concerning the direction and applicability of industry-standard solutions.
- Offer specialized expertise to facilitate the development of comprehensive methods for defining present and future strategic product milestones.
- Monitor all facets of product performance, and assist in the formulation of long-term plans.
- Utilize industry-specific knowledge to evaluate an organization's operational and functional baseline.
- Collaborate closely with senior managers and executives to provide industry foresight and strategic guidance.
- Participate actively in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments, and design reviews to validate enterprise approaches and associated work products.
- Analyze user requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and define necessary resources for each task.
- Serve as a liaison to client personnel.
- Provide strategic counsel to other technical staff, particularly in areas such as specifications, architectures, and information system design.
- Stay abreast of developments within their field of expertise and apply them to the client environment, encompassing emerging technologies, lessons learned, best practices, and assessment methodologies.
- Serve as the primary interface connecting stakeholders, users, and the development team. Attend industry and government events to discuss technical details related to the NGA AI/ML program.
- Engage with users and customers to discern and comprehend their underlying needs.
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including program managers, to formulate a product vision and roadmap that aligns with the NGA AI/ML Program's objectives.
- Work in close coordination with software engineering teams to fulfill user needs and construct user experiences that meet the standards expected by the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense (DoD), and government workforce.
- Support the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation and evaluation, particularly for moderately complex product development efforts.
- Assist in the definition of the product strategy and roadmap for routine designs and overseeing the development and testing process through cross-functional teams.
- Effectively communicate, educate, and advocate the vision and goals of new products, both internally and externally.
- Be accountable for the successful delivery of customer-centric products.
- Manage continuous discovery and delivery throughout the product's lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
- A Bachelor's in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
- Product management expertise, strategic acumen, and the ability to excel in dynamic and challenging environments.
- Customer empathy and user-centric mindset, with experience in conducting user research and testing.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to drive product decisions.
- 6+ months of experience in AI space.
- Adaptive Learning & AI Curiosity: The candidate should possess a relentless passion for learning and self-improvement, particularly in the AI domain.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of proactively seeking out new knowledge, adapting to the ever-evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, and applying fresh insights to their work.
- Familiarity with the latest AI research, participation in relevant courses or workshops, and a willingness to pivot in response to new technological advancements are essential.
