Job Description

As a Senior Product Manager, Infrastructure Virtualization at Google, you'll guide products from conception to launch, bridging technical and business worlds. You'll break down complex problems, work cross-functionally, and deliver new capabilities in the foundational Compute Infrastructure layer (Hypervisor, Virtualization Stack, Guest OS, Devices). Responsibilities include delivering Google Cloud innovation, collaborating across teams, understanding industry trends, delivering roadmaps for Guest OS support, network, storage, hypervisor, and offloads. You'll use data-driven insights to prioritize engineering initiatives and maximize ROI. This role requires strong communication, influencing skills, and experience in cloud, virtualization, and infrastructure product development.

Must have:

8+ years in product management or related technical role
5+ years developing/launching products in Cloud, Virtualization, or Infrastructure
Deliver new capabilities in Compute Infrastructure layer
Collaborate across hardware, software, research and product teams

Good to have:

Experience with compute architecture, data center infrastructure, CPU/IO technologies
Understanding of workload requirements and infrastructure demands
Effective cross-functional communication and influence

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
5 years of experience developing or launching products or technologies within one or more of the following: Cloud, Virtualization, Infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in one or more of the following: compute architecture, data center infrastructure, CPU and Input/Output technologies, Virtualization and OS systems.
Understanding of different workload requirements (emerging and existing) and their demands on the underlying infrastructure.
Ability to communicate effectively and influence decisions cross-functionally and at all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

Deliver new capabilities in the foundational Compute Infrastructure layer (Hypervisor and Virtualization Stack, Guest OS, Devices) and deliver innovation for Google Cloud.
Work across hardware, software, research and product teams towards product goals and roadmap.
Understand the dynamics and industry trends on where the innovation is happening for both workloads and hardware.
Deliver the roadmap for Guest OS support, network, storage, hypervisor and offloads.
Provide data-driven insights to prioritize engineering initiatives and maximize return on investment.
