Senior QA Analyst - Twisted Pixel Games Responsibilities
Define, develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality of the product
Assist with external test vendors to ensure tests are completed and results are reported efficiently and clearly to the team
Participate in analyzing root causes of problems found and assist in developing countermeasures to remove the causes
Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of QA methods and procedures used and undertake improvement projects when needed
Communicate to promptly with partners and stakeholders on quality performance trends, current status and action plans
Work in VR headset multiple hours a day (2-3hrs) in a fast paced app/game, identifying defects and quality concerns
Establish and grow KPIs through expanding metrics to reflect quality indicators
Establish QA Automation practice and provide guidance and mentoring with tools
Participate in design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, schedules, or potential problems
Create dashboards and views that communicate the status and priority of work in progress
Assist in playtest coordination with external test teams and the studio
Develop and grow quality assurance talent through effective recruitment, career development, and continuous improvement initiatives
Model inclusive behaviors to help build and support a diverse organization that values, respects, and taps into different backgrounds and perspectives
Perform highly specialized testing requiring base code or internal tools such as Perforce, VS Code Debugger, and Unreal Editor as needed
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years QA experience working on Console/PC or VR games
Experience working with outsource partners and managing offshore vendor teams
In-depth understanding of QA tools and QA methodologies that cover regression testing, ad hoc testing, functional testing, end to end testing, user interface testing, and integration testing
Experience with Game Development Cycle, QA Strategy, root cause analysis and risk-management strategies
Experience in reviewing requirements and creating test plans with automation in mind
Experience suppling key information, metrics and next steps and tailoring the message based on the audience
Experience multitasking, working independently and proactively and prioritizing multiple tasks with little to no guidance for your work and the QA team as a whole
Experience with analytics
Experience creating advanced queries in Jira via JQL or related languages (R, Python, M, DAX)
Experience guaranteeing data integrity, data accuracy, data relevance and data consistency within a database
Working experience of test management tools, dashboards and reporting e.g. JIRA, TestRail, or similar
Experienced with reporting such as Future Planning, QA Velocity, and QA Progress
Experience with VR gameplay in a fast paced app/game
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on a VR Project
Experience working with Unity engine and Blueprints
Experience with automated testing tools
