Job Description

This role involves building a trading platform from the ground up for a top-tier hedge fund. Responsibilities include designing and developing the front-office UI, pre-trade checks and analysis, intra-day positions management, order management and routing, risk and limits management, reporting, FIX connectivity, and market data connectivity (e.g., Bloomberg B-pipe). The ideal candidate will have strong UX/UI skills, deep expertise in React, Redux, and related technologies, and a solid understanding of web protocols and application architecture. Experience with Node.js and working knowledge of Linux are essential.

Must have:

Excellent UX/UI design skills
Deep React, Redux expertise
Solid understanding of web protocols (TCP, HTTP, WebSockets, REST)
Experience with Node.js
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, functional programming
Understanding of data stores, middleware, APIs, web applications
Working knowledge of Linux

Good to have:

Amazon AWS EC2/S3/RDS experience
Front-office trading system development experience
Experience with Electron/OpenFin

Project description

Building a trading platform for innovative international top-tier hedge fund from the ground up, comprising of front-office system for traders, pre-trade checks and analysis, intra-day positions management, order management and routing, risks and limits management, reports of trading activities, FIX connectivity, market data providers connectivity (e.g. Bloomberg B-pipe).

Responsibilities

Design and develop modern user interface for front-office trading applications

Skills

Must have

Proven ability to deliver excellent User Experiences (UX) and responsive User Interfaces (UI). Able to speak knowledgeably about UX design.

Solid understanding of the internals of Web protocols: TCP, HTTP, Websockets, REST.

Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and functional programming.

Experience with Node.js.

Demonstrable expertise in React, Redux, and JS-related dependency and build tools (deep experience with comparable frameworks may be considered).

A fundamental understanding of core technical components that comprise data stores, middleware, APIs, and web applications.

Working knowledge of Linux.
