Granicus seeks a Senior Security Analyst with deep expertise in Microsoft security, including Azure AD, Entra, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, and more. You'll be responsible for implementing and operationalizing preventive controls, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents. Strong understanding of DLP and data classification is essential.

Granicus is looking to expand its Cyber Defense program and is looking for someone to provide expertise to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization. If you’re a self-starter who wants to help build and operationalize preventative controls, security monitoring, and detection systems, and work with other technology teams to build a secure environment, then we want to hear from you. What your impact will look like here:
- Serve as subject matter expert for all Microsoft security capabilities
- Serve as subject matter expert for the Granicus technical implementation of Microsoft security capabilities
- Responsible for driving progress and managing efforts to implement the Granicus Cyber Defense roadmap within the Microsoft security capabilities
- Provide operational monitoring of the administration of security controls
- Receive and administer exceptions requests to security controls
- Evaluate new capabilities as they are released
- Provide recommendations to influence Cyber Defense roadmap
- Monitor and respond to data loss prevention (DLP) violations
- Monitor and respond to data classification operational issues
- Work closely with SOC Operations team to design and improve process flows
- Work closely with Security Engineering to improve tooling and processes
- Provide mentorship and leadership for other Cyber Defense personnel
- Research new security technology trends that can be used to reduce exposure
- Work with cross functional teams as a security representative during incidents
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
Some things we’d like you to know (you don’t have to have them all):
- Expert level knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure AD, Entra, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Identity
- Broad and deep expertise Microsoft productivity tools including Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams
- Advanced understanding of common DLP use cases
- Advanced understanding of common data classifications
- Working knowledge of common threat actor TTPs
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to be a self-starter
- Ability to work independently to accomplish assigned objectives with minimal supervision
- Ability to write technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and train team members
