Job Description

The Senior Shared Services Analyst will be responsible for responding to employee inquiries regarding C&T policies, Workday navigation, data requests, and payroll-related matters. This includes providing information, encouraging self-service, troubleshooting issues, and escalating complex problems. They will also ensure employee data accuracy, facilitate process completion, support data audits, and provide support with C&T systems such as Workday. Additionally, the role involves identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing the employee experience through process improvements. This role requires strong attention to detail, initiative, communication skills, problem-solving, and technology proficiency. The analyst will also need to be a team player and possess time management skills.

Job Description

Work Shift: Afternoon, 2pm-11pm IST preferred but open to discussion for exact hours 

 

What you’ll do   

  • Employee Inquiries: Respond to employee queries regarding C&T policies, Workday navigation, data requests, payroll, and other C&T related matters. This involves providing information, encouraging self-service, troubleshooting issues, and escalating more complex problems to the relevant teams. 

  • Employee Data Management: Ensure that employee data is kept up to date by completing mass data uploads (EIBs in Workday) and facilitating process completion. Support with regular data audits and take ownership of next steps.  

  • C&T Technology Support: Assist employees and managers with using C&T systems, such as Workday, helping to troubleshooting technical issues.  Develop training materials and provide training sessions to employees, managers and HR teams. 

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline C&T processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the employee experience.  Take ownership of both identifying opportunities and implement these changes end to end. Support and participate in cross-functional projects. Create and maintain documentation for processes and procedures.   

  • Audit Support: Support with internal and external audit requests. Follow defined processes for change requests as per documentation.   

  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on HR trends and new features in Workday. Utilise Workday community to troubleshoot issues, explore new and existing functionality and complete assigned tickets and activities. Ability to take initiate and ownership over personal learning and development is vital.  

 

Essential skills required for success   

  • Attention to Detail: C&T processes often involve sensitive and confidential information. Being detail-oriented is essential for maintaining data accuracy and compliance with regulations.  

  • Initiative: You have the internal drive and determination to initiate tasks and projects without external pressure or guidance. You proactively identify opportunities for improvement, act on them, and suggest innovative ideas to enhance processes or outcomes.  

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English to interact with employees and other stakeholders globally. 

  • Problem Solving: The ability to assess problems, gather information, and develop various solutions.  Critical thinking skills to evaluate and improve existing C&T processes and respond to questions appropriately.  

  • Technology Proficiency: Experience using Workday in an operational role and desire to learn and be more hands on with troubleshooting and configuration changes.  

  • Teamwork: Collaborating with colleagues in a shared services team is important. Being a team player and having the ability to work effectively with others is important.  

  • Time Management: Managing multiple tasks and inquiries efficiently is essential. You should be able to prioritize and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.  

 

Additional Requirements:   

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science or related field 

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in a HR Shared Services role 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel) and the ability to learn new software quickly.
