Job Description

Small Giant Games seeks a Senior Software Developer to contribute to the development of their flagship game, Empires & Puzzles. The role centers on client-side development of new features, with opportunities for full-stack involvement. Responsibilities include independently developing features, collaborating with designers and artists, writing clean code, performing code reviews, and resolving live game issues. The ideal candidate possesses Java or C# experience, a strong aptitude for learning, a positive attitude, and a passion for games. Familiarity with Unity, Scala, MongoDB, and AWS is a plus.

Position Overview:

We are looking for more professionals to join our ranks. You will be participating in the development of our flagship game, Empires & Puzzles. Your main focus will be on the client-side, developing awesome new features for the game. You'll also get the chance to work on the full stack. Some of the tools we use include Unity, C#, Scala, MongoDB and AWS.

What You Bring:

Independently developing new features and content for our live games
Collaborating with game designers, artists and QA specialists of the development team
Writing clean code and performing code reviews for your peers
Helping with solving critical issues in live games
We hope you have at least the following qualities:
Experience in developing software with Java or C#
A razor sharp mind and the ability to learn new things extremely quickly
A positive “can-do” attitude
Passion for games

Bonus Points:

A long history of programming, either as a hobby or as a professional
Experience in developing with Unity
Good teamwork and communication skills
Interest in game design
Enthusiasm for free-to-play mobile games
