Zscaler is seeking highly motivated Senior Software Development Engineer (Automation) to ensure world-class quality in delivering a multi-tenant, scalable, and secure SaaS platform built on microservices architecture. If you are driven about quality, passionate for automation, and have a knack for solving complex problems, we want you!

This role will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering and you'll be responsible for:

• Leading and executing testing phases while developing test strategies, plans, and cases from requirements
• Designing and optimizing scalable automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments
• Working with cross-functional teams to set quality objectives, acceptance criteria, and drive continuous improvement 
• Identifying and resolving complex issues with root cause analysis and effective solutions 
• Staying updated on QA tools and methodologies to implement best practices

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• 3+ years of experience in functional testing, quality assurance, and test automation for API, databases, and UI using frameworks like Playwright, PyTest, or Selenium
• Proficient in Python, JavaScript, or Java, with experience in both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Skilled in public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, and RESTful services
• Excellent communicator and collaborator within agile team environments

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Familiarity with performance, load, and scale testing automation
• Experience building/maintaining test infrastructure for continuous testing
• Thorough understanding of agile development and continuous integration/delivery patterns
