Job Function Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Product Engineering team at Cyara, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and optimization of the software solutions that make up the Cyara portfolio. You will gather product requirements from Product Management and turn them into working software that satisfies market needs. You will develop, revise, and maintain software artifacts and product engineering processes/methodologies to meet functional, scale, and performance criteria.

You will be responsible for:

Innovative Software Development:Utilizecutting-edge software development tools to drive innovation, efficiency, and quality in front-end development.
Problem Solving and UX Delivery: Address challenging problems to deliver impactful UX solutions quickly, efficiently, and with high quality.
Scalable Systems Architecture: Contribute to the evolution of systems architecture, ensuring scalability with the growing demands of the business.
Collaborative Cross-Functional Work: Share knowledge and communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) across the organization to align front-end development with overall business objectives.
Problem Identification and Resolution:Analyze, identify, and address problems or bugs to ensure a seamless and error-free user interface.
Active Participation in Agile Processes: Engage actively in Agile team meetings, contributing to iterative development processes and adhering to best practices.
While this position does not require participation in an official on-call roster, Engineering employees are expected to be available to assist with troubleshooting Severity 1 or Severity 2 production issues as they arise. If contacted, employees should be prepared to respond and provide support, leveraging their domain knowledge and skills to resolve critical incidents.

Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal/external personnel in own area of expertise.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree.

Demonstrates proficiency in software development and the ability to work independently.

Coldfusion

Proficiency in developing web applications using ColdFusion and CFML, with a solid understanding of ColdFusion frameworks (e.g., ColdBox, Fusebox, Mach II).

Experience in writing and maintaining efficient ColdFusion code, including custom tags and CFCs.

Knowledge of ColdFusion integration with databases, including writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.

Familiarity with ColdFusion debugging and optimization techniques to improve application performance.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services integration.

Advanced skills in deploying and managing ColdFusion applications within containerized environments for scalability and portability.

Proficiency in implementing performance optimization techniques for ColdFusion applications.

Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues in existing ColdFusion applications.

Ability to mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions for ColdFusion applications.

Front-End

Strong JavaScript knowledge – Preferably React experience.

Experience working with TypeScript, React lifecycle, and state management is advantageous but not mandatory.

Familiarity with design systems (e.g., Storybook) and component libraries (e.g., Kendo UI) to maintain UX/UI consistency.

Strong skills in using GraphQL in combination with React for modern stack development.

Majority of time will be spent contributing to the modern stack (React + GraphQL), but there will be times to contribute to the legacy stack (Angular).

Familiarity with Webpack and front-end packaging.

Familiarity with form management tools such as React-final-form.

Security

Advanced understanding of web security principles and best practices, with solid experience in implementing security measures.

Proficiency in protecting against common vulnerabilities such as SQL injection and XSS attacks, with a focus on maintaining robust security.

Strong skills in optimizing code, queries, and server configurations for improved performance and scalability.

Ability to mentor junior engineers on security practices and performance optimization techniques, and contribute to team-wide security strategies.
