Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at Google Meet, you will lead backend technical strategy and projects for teams and areas of Google Meet. You will work on technical projects, investigating problem areas, and scoping out new work. You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. You will collaborate with related engineering teams and other functions to launch high-quality solutions in a timely manner.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
5 years of experience with programming languages (Java, C/C++, Python, Objective C, JavaScript, or Go)
Experience developing APIs and integrating third-party services
Experience in computer science, data structures, algorithms and software design

Good to have:

Experience as an Architect or technical lead on large projects
Experience designing or developing video conferencing or related software
Experience with large scale distributed systems

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
