This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with on-site and work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Irvine CA.

Responsibilities

  • Innovate and Develop: Design and implement cutting-edge development tools for game designers, world builders, artists, audio designers, and other engineers, enabling them to create immersive experiences.

  • Collaborate and Evolve: Partner with various development teams to continuously improve and evolve our current tools, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

  • Ensure Excellence: Maintain tools to ensure optimal performance, stability, and error-free operation, providing a seamless experience for our users.

  • Problem-Solve and Improve: Identify and resolve development and process issues, and proactively discover opportunities for improvement to enhance our workflows.

  • Foster Inclusion: Actively participate in and contribute to a culture of inclusion and diversity, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Experience: Five or more years of experience as a desktop application developer, or equivalent experience, demonstrating a strong background in desktop application development.

  • Passion: A genuine passion for tools development and enhancing user experience, with a focus on creating impactful solutions.

  • Programming Skills: Strong, proven programming skills in C++, showcasing your technical expertise and ability to deliver high-quality code.

  • Communication: Effective communication and collaboration abilities with non-technical users, including artists and designers, ensuring smooth interactions and understanding.

  • Debugging: Strong debugging skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently, maintaining the stability and performance of our tools.

Plusses

  • Game Development: Experience developing game engine and/or world building tools.

  • SQL Expertise: Experience with SQL databases, including database schema and query design and programming language bindings.

  • C# Experience: Experience developing desktop applications or web services in C#.

  • Content Pipelines: Experience working with game content pipelines and tools.

  • GUI Frameworks: Experience with GUI frameworks (e.g., WPF, ImGui ).

  • Passion for WoW: A passion for playing World of Warcraft.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $121,500.00 - $224,880.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
