Must have:
  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Experience with Java Frameworks like Spring Boot
  • Experience building apps on AWS
  • Experience consuming, designing and implementing REST APIs
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience implementing unit and integration tests
Good to have:
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Experience with MySql and DynamoDB databases
  • Working knowledge of build automation and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Agile software development practices
  • Experience using Docker

Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for a passionate back-end Software Engineer to join our team in India - Pune. Autodesk Platform Services (APS) is a cloud service platform that powers custom and pre-built applications, integrations, and innovative solutions. It offers APIs and web services to unlock the value of our customers' Design and Make data and connects custom and end-to-end workflows. This is an opportunity to work on the APIs and services that directly impact the millions of users of Autodesk products.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of foundational platform APIs that are the building blocks for next-generation design apps. You will be part of an agile product team of smart and highly motivated engineers building world-class cloud software applications and services. You will work in a global organization and collaborate with local and remote colleagues from various disciplines like business, engineering, operations, and support. This is an exciting opportunity to unequivocally help our customers build better and custom business solutions within and across disciplines and industries.

Responsibilities

  • Design, development, and testing of features/functions delivered via applications and services

  • Ensure your applications and services are highly available and reliable

  • Hands on software development for products that will perform at scale, be supportable, and be extensible

  • Perform code reviews, evaluate implementations, and provide feedback for tool improvements

  • Automate processes where possible and adopt new technologies when needed

  • Participate in on-call rotation to support production system

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of total experience in software development

  • Hands-on software development experience in Java

  • Experience with Java Frameworks e.g. Spring Boot

  • Experience building apps on AWS using services such as S3, DynamoDB, IAM, EC2, Cloudwatch and Lambda

  • Experience consuming, designing, and implementing REST APIs

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Experience implementing unit and integration tests

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

  • Experience with MySql and DynamoDB databases

  • Working knowledge of build automation and CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience with Agile software development practices

  • Experience using Docker to build containerized applications
