Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will translate customer needs into new products and capabilities. You will design and deliver scalable solutions throughout the software development lifecycle, working with technologies like Java, React, and Angular. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, designing and implementing user interfaces, developing server-side applications and APIs, and ensuring application performance and security. You will also participate in code reviews and stay current with industry trends. The role requires experience in Java, React/Angular, and database technologies, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Must have:
  • Experience with Java 17+/Kotlin/Spring Boot
  • Experience with ReactJS/JavaScript(ES6)/Angular
  • Experience in developing microservices and RESTful webservices
  • Solid knowledge of database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Knowledge of Java and React Testing frameworks
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, SASS, Webpack)
  • Experience meeting WCAG Accessibility (A) standards
  • AWS/PCF or any Cloud Experience
  • Agile Scrum experience
Good to have:
  • Strong understanding or experience with UX and/or Visual Design
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and automation tools
  • Typescript, Micro-frontends
  • Knowledge of jvm and performance tuning
  • Experience writing developer centric documentation
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar tools

Focus of the Role

To design, build and support service assurance capabilities as a part of high performance software engineering team, delivering competitive advantage and enabling profitable growth, whilst managing the end-to-end development, delivery, technical design authority, integration requirements and lifecycle management of capabilities which expose reusable APIs for multiple internal and external consumers

What You’ll Do  

  • Collaborate with product owners, designers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Design and implement responsive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Develop server-side applications and RESTful APIs using back-end technologies such as Java and Spring Boot.
  • Integrate front-end and back-end components to create a seamless user experience.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Perform database design and development, including data modeling, queries, and optimization.
  • Ensure the application's performance, security, and scalability meet industry best practices and project requirements.
  • Test and debug web applications to identify and resolve issues.
  • Continuously improve and refactor code for better performance and maintainability.
  • Actively participating in code reviews and giving constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers for smooth deployment and release processes.
  • Stay up to date with latest technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior developers.
  • Organize and conduct showcases for product owners and stakeholders.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with more than 9+ years' experience and a strong portfolio.
  • Experience in Java 17+/Kotlin/Spring Boot, and ReactJS/JavaScript(ES6)/Angular
  • Good experience in developing and designing microservices, Restful webservices and exposing APIs on API Gateway (eg: APIGEE)
  • Solid knowledge of database technologies like, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
  • Knowledge of Java Testing frameworks like Junit 4/5, Mockito, WireMock
  • Knowledge of React Testing frameworks like React Testing Library (RTL), Jest
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, SASS, Webpack
  • Experience meeting WCAG Accessibility (A) standards.
  • AWS/PCF or any Cloud Experience is must.
  • Agile Scrum experience.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong understanding or experience with UX and/or Visual Design specialties.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and automation tools.
  • Typescript, Micro-frontends
  • Knowledge of jvm and performance tuning of application
  • Experience writing developer centric documentation
