Job Description

The Core team at Google builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. This role requires a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in multiplatform development (Android, iOS, Web) and experience building and developing infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks. Responsibilities include driving impactful outcomes, devising effective solutions, communicating effectively with multiple teams, and fostering a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with software design and architecture, testing, maintaining, and launching software products, and experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture. They will also contribute to technical direction-setting and offer solutions addressing both short-term and long-term goals.

Must have:

5+ years software development experience
Experience in mobile app development
Experience with data structures/algorithms
Experience building infrastructure/distributed systems
Experience with compute technologies/hardware architecture

Good to have:

Full-stack development (Android, iOS, Web)
Experience designing developer frameworks
Experience guiding junior engineers
Effective cross-functional team collaboration

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in mobile application development.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience building and developing infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks.
Experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in full-stack development across Android, iOS, and web applications, showcasing adaptability to diverse technical environments.
Experience in designing and maintaining developer frameworks, streamlining development processes, and enhancing productivity.
Experience collaborating with and guiding junior engineers.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution and delivery.
