Job Description

ByteDance is seeking Senior Software Engineers to design and develop large-scale platforms, systems, and services that power Enterprise IT relative solutions. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and upgrading backend services/systems, gathering user requirements, writing code in various programming languages, participating in the full software development life cycle, integrating software components, developing operational tools to automate processes, documenting and maintaining software functionality, collaborating with product managers, and mentoring interns and junior-level Software Engineers.

Must have:

2+ years experience designing & implementing large-scale distributed online software services using Java, Go, JavaScript, Ruby, or Python
2+ years experience designing & implementing User Interfaces and scripts to automate common flows using HTML, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby
2+ years experience maintaining and debugging software services
2+ years experience designing & implementing software service architecture to support high throughput and fault tolerant services
2+ years experience designing and managing databases to support online services using MySQL or Redis
2+ years experience applying Network protocols and using Unix/Linux operating system

We are looking for talents to join us on this exciting journey! Responsibilities Design and develop large-scale platforms, systems, and services that powers Enterprise IT relative solution. Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and upgrade backend services/systems. Gather user requirements and write code in various programming languages. Participate in full software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment. Integrate software components into a fully functional software system. Develop operational tools to automate general operation process. Document and maintain software functionality. Collaborate with product managers to design and implement new application features. Mentor interns and junior-level Software Engineers.

Qualifications

Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related STEM field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related STEM field, and 5 years of postbachelor's, progressive related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Designing and implementing large-scale, distributed online software services using programming language Java, Go, JavaScript, Ruby, or Python; Designing and implementing User Interfaces and scripts to automate common flows using HTML, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby; Maintaining and debugging software services; Designing and implementing software service architecture to support high throughput and fault tolerant services; Designing and managing databases to support online services using MySQL or Redis; and Applying Network protocols and using Unix/Linux operating system. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $194000 - $355000 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
