Job Description
- Design, build, test, deploy, and operate production services end-to-end in an agile, self-managed, product-focused team.
- Develop and evolve microservice ecosystem, creating observable, resilient, and horizontally scalable new services.
- Raise quality by writing lean, well-tested code (unit, integration, acceptance) and using BDD where valuable.
- Automate everything by codifying infrastructure and delivery (GitOps/CI/CD) to boost speed with guardrails.
- Keep production healthy by instrumenting metrics, logs, traces, and turning incidents into learning.
- Significant professional experience in delivering software.
- Depth in one or two areas: backend, data, observability, cloud, with strong secondary skills across others.
- Hands-on across the lifecycle: from requirements and design to implementation, testing, and operations.
- Significant experience in at least two of: Agile/Lean, BDD, DevOps/GitOps, multiple programming languages, or Flutter/UI development.

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join the OTT Live team at Axel Springer National Media & Tech. Our team is responsible for building and maintaining the core services that power live streaming for major media brands like BILD and WELT. We focus on delivering robust, high-availability solutions for live events, FAST channels, and monetization through server-side ad insertion. If you're a hands-on engineer with significant professional experience and a strong background in DevOps, agile methodologies, and multiple programming languages, we'd love to hear from you.
