Are you a highly skilled backend engineer with a passion for delivering world-class products? We're looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our Payments platform team. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical initiatives, design scalable systems, and make a significant impact on the architecture and development of innovative solutions. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of critical projects, from architecture design to production deployment. You’ll also mentor junior developers, champion best practices, and advocate for cutting-edge tools and technologies that drive technical excellence across the team.

Responsibilities:

    • Architect, design, and develop high-quality, efficient, and testable code
    • Collaborate closely with Development Managers, UX designers, Product Managers, and offshore teams to solve complex challenges
    • Lead code reviews, ensure design quality, and mentor junior developers to uphold best practices and coding standards
    • Balance implementation complexity, time to market, and scalability for optimal project outcomes
    • Standardize code architecture across the team for consistency and performance
    • Drive customer-focused innovation by delivering reliable, scalable, and high-value features

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
    • 5-10 years of backend development experience (PHP, Node.js, SQL, or similar technologies)
    • Expertise in performance optimization, debugging, and unit testing
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
