Job Description

The Senior Solution Engineer will be responsible for bringing cutting-edge Visa digital products like Click to Pay, Network Tokenization, and Visa Payment Passkeys to the market, particularly in the CEMEA region. They will collaborate with clients to integrate Visa products into their applications, manage the solution approval process, define and manage client pipelines, and provide guidance from solution design to implementation. The role requires a deep understanding of e-commerce, banking apps, and authentication solutions, along with the ability to translate client needs into product requirements and foster collaboration within remote teams. The engineer will also maintain sales collateral and create best practices for market teams.
Must have:
  • 10+ years solution design experience in relevant industries
  • Experience in technical solution delivery for banks or fintechs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • English language proficiency
Good to have:
  • Experience with APIs, SDK integration, and mobile/web development
  • Knowledge of RTP payment architecture and Open Banking
  • MS PowerPoint and presentation skills

Job Description

The Application and Platform Services team is responsible for bringing the most cutting-edge Visa digital products and solutions such as Click to Pay, Network Tokenization, Visa Pay, Visa Payment Passkeys, Data Tokens, and more. These innovative solutions will shape the future of digital payments over the next 5-10 years globally, including in the CEMEA region.

The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of ecommerce, banking apps, authentication solutions like passkeys and be able to quickly comprehend the client's current implementations, such as merchant checkout and issuer apps. They will be responsible for collaborating with clients to integrate Visa products into the clients' existing applications, workflows, and processes. Additionally, they will lead and manage the entire solution approval process for the implementation of these Visa products.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will collaborate with the subregional Digital Products, Sales, and other x-functinal teams to:

  • Define and manage the client pipeline and go to market planning,
  • Manage tracking of progress and reporting to both regional and global stakeholders
  • Identify clients for piloting new products and solutions and working with the correct stakeholders both regional and global to take pilots live.
  • Discuss and engage clients on new solutions and work with them on prioritization of the solutions.
  • Engage internal stakeholders to remove roadblocks and make the end to end delivery process as smooth as possible.
  • Handhold clients from solution design to implementation to go live.
  • Maintain and keep up to date all sales collaterals (sales decks, FAQ documents, case studies, dashboards, etc).
  • Work on creating best practices and learnings for market teams
  • Document global and regional product nuances for easy consumption by both external and internal stakeholders
  • Approve contract requests and onboard and enable clients in Visa Ready
  • Identify clients in the sales pipeline who are ready to begin project implementation to define the ideal UI/UX for various Visa Digital products. 
  • Providing final approval and signoff on the solution (including UI/UX) before the client can go live.

Working with remote teams, the candidate will foster performance, knowledge, and culture, and develop thought leadership on payment processing options. A deep understanding of Visa's capabilities and existing payments infrastructure will aid ideation and problem-solving.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  •  Possess an Engineering or Computer Science degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in solution design in retail banking, payments technology, mobile wallets, or eCommerce industries.
  • Experience in technical solution delivery for banks, ecommerce sites, and/or fintechs.
  • Ability to integrate business and commercialization aspects with technical skills.
  • Skilled in translating client needs into product requirements and adapting existing products to meet market needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with APIs, SDK integration, mobile/web application development, RTP payment architecture, and Open Banking will be a big plus.
  • MS PowerPoint and presentation skills a big plus.
  • English language proficiency
