Senior Sound Designer - 12 month contract
It’s a great time to be part of the Media Molecule team as the studio undergoes an exciting period of growth and evolution. We are now looking for a talented senior sound designer to join our Audio team and help with our new title! This is without doubt, one of the best Audio roles around. There’s huge scope for impact in this role, with ownership of audio design and technical features. The senior sound designer will take ownership of a product area, assessing its needs, creating the necessary sounds, and guiding any additional work that needs to be taken on (e.g. handling a recording session etc.) This role will be hybrid working 2-3 days per week from our Guildford studio.
What are we looking for?
Ability to produce sounds that inspire and impress!
Previous experience in a similar role within the games industry and a clear understanding of what is required to make a game sound good - demonstrated in your showreel.
An intimate knowledge of sound recording, mixing, editing etc with experience recording different material, and an understanding of all the practicalities involved.
Demonstrable experience and knowledge of using Wwise (preferred), or another game sound implementation system. (e.g. FMOD, Unity, Unreal etc).
Demonstrable experience with implementing Wwise/other middleware content into a game engine, using sound designer facing tools.
Scripting knowledge is a plus, but not essential to this role.
A proactive, creative and collaborative approach.
