Senior Specialist - Software Engineering

This role requires a Senior Specialist in Software Engineering with 10 years of experience in AS400 applications. The candidate will be involved in software development enhancement and support, including setting up Development Life Cycle Processes. Experience with distribution systems is beneficial. The role requires hands-on experience in Production support, Enhancement, or Development Projects, as well as completing a full Life Cycle Process for an enhancement/development. Experience in Manufacturing, Retail, and Transportation industries is a must. Strong analytical and programming skills in RPG, CL, and AS400 are essential, along with mature ILE hands-on experience. Intermediate knowledge of SYNON and Cobol400, strong SQL and RDBMS concepts, and familiarity with AS400 JOBs, JDs, and related tasks are required. The candidate should also be strong in Unit Testing Concepts, designing processes and technical workflows, Change Management Tools, and IFS and QDLS related File Systems. AS400 FTP scripting knowledge is an advantage. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
