About this Role
Join the Finance team at Fandom and work with great people (fans! Star Wars, Twin Peaks, RPG games, you name it!).
You will play a significant role in maintaining the financial books and records, and owning the accounting operations for vendors and suppliers. You will be preparing journal entries, drafting schedules and completing reconciliations. You will be also responsible for preparing detailed financial reports, including segment of region performance. This role involves providing more advanced financial analysis. You will collaborate with finance and other departments to deliver insights that support strategic decision-making, often tailoring financial data to the needs of different stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring that the business unit’s accounting operations are functioning smoothly across all subsidiaries including the Polish entity.
You Will...
- Be responsible for posting payroll across Fandom subsidiaries, reconciling payroll accounts, and providing reports for analysis departments
- Preparing cash transitions in both Polish and foreign bank accounts, managing daily posting transactions, managing cash management reports
- Be responsible for handling inventory purchase accounting and reconciliations
- Manage the supplier bills process and ensure timely payments to our suppliers for the Polish subsidiary using our established workflow chain
- Supporting tax and external audits, particularly in the areas of payroll and cash
- Leading process improvement initiatives
- Prepare month-end close schedules and reconciliations. Check month-end account balances and resolve any discrepancies that may arise
- Produce routine and ad hoc reports as needed
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Engage in other finance and accounting related activities and special projects
- Assist as needed for global tax and compliance tasks including Vat returns, VAT moss, and income tax
You Have...
- Accounting or finance-related studies
- 4+ year of professional experience in a similar position
- Advanced computer skills (including G Suite and Microsoft Office, especially Excel)
- Accuracy, timeliness, patience
- Attention to detail
- Solid Communication, both verbal and written
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- Collaborative, proactive and with willingness to participate in a variety of international financial projects
