This leadership role offers an exceptional opportunity to transform and shape the manufacturing and fulfillment operations. Reporting directly to the Elgin Site General Manager, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives throughout the Supply Chain organization to meet revenue, cost, and quality goals while enhancing the customer experience. This position provides significant cross-functional visibility and fosters learning interactions across various departments. Key responsibilities include leading Supply Chain Continuous Improvement, driving manufacturing advancements, leading and developing a team, serving as a Global Subject Matter Expert, facilitating continuous improvement, participating in strategic business initiatives, and developing training materials. You will proactively identify and resolve core challenges and capitalize on opportunities within business processes.
Must have:

  • Serve as the Global Supply Chain Lead.

Job Description

This leadership role offers an exceptional opportunity to transform and shape the manufacturing and fulfillment operations for Motorola Solutions, Inc. Reporting directly to the Elgin Site General Manager, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives throughout the Supply Chain organization. You will lead diverse teams in a global network, ensuring operational excellence in order to meet revenue, cost, and quality goals while enhancing the customer experience. This position provides significant cross-functional visibility and fosters rich learning interactions across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics Operations/Procurement, Purchasing, Manufacturing Operations, Systems Integration, Deployment and Development. You will gain invaluable exposure to Senior Director and VP+ leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to achieve KPI goals - Revenue, Cost, Cash, Quality, Customer Experience

  • Transformation: Drive manufacturing advancement through the adoption and employment of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, digitization 

  • Team Leadership/Development: Manage and develop a team of 3-5 direct reports. 

  • Global Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the Global Supply Chain Lead for continuous improvement  

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Facilitate continuous improvement throughout the corporation through collaboration with suppliers, internal teams, and customers .

  • Strategic Initiatives: Actively participate in strategic business initiatives from concept to implementation, contributing supply chain lean expertise and insights.

  • Training / Continuous Learning: Develop training materials and mentoring programs

  • Problem Solving and Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and resolve core challenges and capitalize on opportunities within business processes.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and best practices.

  • Experience with Quality, Continuous Improvement, Lean Six Sigma

  • Experience in Continuous Improvement - Six Sigma certification in Green or Black Belt preferred.


Candidates must reside in the Chicagoland area to be considered for this position.

Target Base Salary Range: $112,300  - $224,600 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or related.

  • 7+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement or related.
