The team you will be a part of
The Software Engineering team designs, develops or coordinates development/troubleshooting or debugging of moderately complex software programs for enhancements and new products. Performs high-level design/modeling to convert stakeholder needs into software solutions. Develops software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. Develops the architectural guidelines, specifications, and technical standards and communicates to stakeholders.
This Role In Summary
We are looking for a talented engineer to be part of a software development team within the global Electronics organization at Whirlpool. You will be developing software and firmware for our Global Refrigeration product portfolio.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Experience Required- 6-9 years
Educational Qualification-B.E./B.Tech-MTech/ Master Degree in Electronics/ Computer / Mechatronics Engineering
Job Details-
- Experience with professional software engineering practices over all aspects of software development life-cycle including writing requirements specifications, developing design guidelines and coding standards, performing code reviews, source code control, build systems, testing, release engineering and field support
- Knowledge of microprocessor/microcontroller architecture, hardware basics
- Experience with a variety of coding languages and paradigms, including C++, Java, JavaScript Python, UML / SysML and modeling languages
- Comfortable with Object Oriented programing
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, etc.
- Understanding or exposure to IOT, WiFi, BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with continuous integration and test
- Ability to work cross functionally and globally.
- Knowledgeable of theory and use of Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience with User Interface Design patterns (MVC, MVP, MVVM)
- Critical analysis / thought to solve problem
