Camouflaj, an award-winning team known for BATMAN: ARKHAM SHADOW, IRON MAN VR, and RÉPUBLIQUE, is seeking an experienced Technical Animator. The role involves collaborating with animators, artists, designers, engineers, and producers to develop and maintain performant real-time animations and characters using Maya and Unity. Responsibilities include creating rigs, integrating assets into Unity, developing tools and pipelines, guiding best practices for optimized assets, ensuring design compatibility with animations, collaborating on animation features, planning and scheduling, mentoring junior technical animators, and staying updated on animation and rigging technology trends. The company fosters an open, honest, and respectful environment for creating high-quality VR games.
Must have:
  • 5+ years as Technical Animator/Artist
  • Develop/maintain tool codebases
  • Create Maya/Motion Builder tools with Python
  • Create body/face rigs and skinning in Maya
  • Model topology and character artist guidance
  • Animation controllers/state machines (Mecanim)
  • Work in Unity with C#
  • 3D math skills (linear algebra)
  • Give/receive feedback in a collaborative environment
Good to have:
  • VR development experience
  • Maya C++ API experience
  • Motionbuilder experience
  • Familiarity with FACS rigs/facial tracking

Camouflaj, the award winning team behind BATMAN: ARKHAM SHADOW, IRON MAN VR and RÉPUBLIQUE is looking for an experienced Technical Animator to join our team of seventy talented developers who collectively pursue the goal of creating high quality, meaningful VR games in an open, honest, and respectful environment. As a Technical Animator you’ll work closely with animators, artists, designers, engineers and producers to develop and maintain performant real-time animations and characters within Maya and Unity.   • Develop content creation pipelines and tools for the animation and character art teams. | Développer des pipelines et des outils de création de contenu pour les équipes d’animation et de création de personnages.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Technical Animator or Technical Artist. | 5+ années d’expérience professionnelle en tant qu’animateur technique ou artiste technique.
