Job Description

This role requires a Senior Technical Artist with 5+ years of experience in Unreal Engine and Houdini, specializing in VFX rendering for a global, realistic 3A action game. Responsibilities include solving technical issues for the VFX team, developing tools to improve efficiency, creating high-quality effects, and optimizing assets for performance. The ideal candidate will have experience with various DCC software (Houdini, Substance Designer, Photoshop, After Effects, 3ds Max, Maya), proficiency in NiagaraScript, materials, and blueprint writing, and a strong understanding of physics and mathematics. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Must have:

5+ years Unreal Engine & Houdini experience
Proficient in Houdini VFX
NiagaraScript, materials & blueprints
High-quality VFX creation
Optimization & pipeline maintenance

Good to have:

C++/Python scripting
Experience with large-scale games/films

Responsibilities:

1.负责特效团队的技术性工作内容，为特效团队解决技术性问题并提供解决方案；
2.与程序团队合作，开发工具提升特效环节画面制作效率，优化表现品质；
3.根据美术风格和需求设计，实现高质量的特效，配合美术落地效果;
4.定制特效美术资源的日常制作流程，确保资源符合引擎规格和项目规范；
5.优化美术资产以适应技术限制，维护特效管线以保证运行效率。

Requirements:

1.五年以上虚幻引擎及Houdini工作经验，参与过至少一款使用虚幻引擎开发的游戏项目（有大型游戏项目及影视项目特效开发经验优先），提供相关的作品集，能够展示特效制作的技术和美术能力;
2.熟悉各类特效制作相关的DCC软件，包括不仅限于Houdini、Substance Designer、Photoshop、After Effect、3ds Max、Maya等等;
3.精通Houdini特效相关解算，对Houdini to UE制作流程有相关经验;
4.具备Niagara Script、材质、蓝图编写能力。熟悉UE引擎Niagara模块以及各类特效材质实现，制作效果原型；
5.有一定的脚本代码实现或者节点是编程能力，了解C++，python等；
6.有写实类特效材质渲染制作与相关优化经验，具备扎实的美术功底，优秀的审美能力和视觉效果创意，逻辑思维清晰;
7.对物理学和数学有良好理解，以实现真实感强的动态效果;
8.具备良好的沟通能力，团队协作能力，工作积极主动有责任心，抗压能力良好，主动了解行业内前沿的特效实现方案。
